Mayflowers Vintage Florist is a sweet little flower studio, located in the historical suburb of Mayfield, NSW Australia.

It is a magical place where the prettiest and freshest flowers turn into wonderful works of floral art.

Each and every flower is carefully chosen to convey affection ion, remembrance or celebration without uttering a single word.

I have always loved flowers. They remind me of my grandmother, my best friend. Fragrant roses, miniature pansies, towering hydrangea bushes. I would visit my grandmother’s garden when I was a little girl. It was my favourite place to explore and to create. It was also the perfect spot for tea parties. Not much has changed since those days. My grandmother is still my muse, her garden is my inspiration and those precious teacups have become my signature floral arrangement.

I believe I was destined to become a florist. I started Mayflowers over 14 years ago with just $20 in my pocket. The month was May, the week before Mother’s Day. 

Today, I spend my days in my flower studio. I love being surrounded by vintage teacups, French ribbons, and of course, countless flowers. My designs are aromatic arrangements of love, comfort and beauty. My style celebrates the classical pairing of fresh flowers and antiques. Inspired by the Victorian Era, the French Countryside and cottage gardens.

From the largest bouquets to the most precious vintage teacup posies, it is my hope that my creations bring joy to life’s special moments; a wedding, a birthday, a new love, a new baby… and bring comfort to those in need of a faraway hug. It’s for this reason that I ask my friends at Godfather Espresso, a disability support service for NDIS participants, to help with my flower deliveries. Their team, in particular, my brother Scott, spreads joy to everyone they meet. And the smiles are the warmest you’ll ever see. You could say it’s a perfect arrangement.
